Burges Karkaria

CEO / Co-Founder
Burges has more than two decades of experience in consumer and enterprise technologies with varied go-to-market expertise. In addition to involvement in several small startup ventures in the past, he is also a seasoned Valley technologist. Burges has run Intel's External Services Division (new startup businesses), worked as their CTO for Sales, Marketing and Enterprise, created key products in the Data Center and Digital Home Groups, and has around two dozen patents (approved or pending approval) as well as multiple publications.

Sukhi Cheema

VP Engineering / Co-Founder
Sukhi handles the application and mobile creation for RoboCuisine. He is one of the best Valley software programmers with more than two decades of hands-on experience in the industry. Sukhi is a physics graduate from the UK, and a Master in Information science from GGU. He brings over two decades of experience with Intel, and has also been an advanced technologist for Charles Schwab.

Derick Johnson

CTO / Co-Founder
Derick handles our robotics integration, programming and custom motherboard design. He has worked at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Department of Transportation and brings a wealth of experience he has gained at Intel. He has a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from CSU Chico and UC San Diego, respectively. Derick currently holds 6 patents.

Tegan Bukowsk

Industrial Designer
Tegan Bukowski is a Yale-trained architectural and industrial designer. She was mentored, taught, and worked for Dame Zaha Hadid, working on projects ranging from furniture and chandeliers to skyscrapers and airports. Tegan founded Studio Bu in 2017 and since has designed spaces, homewares, furniture, robots, hydrofoils and much more.

Kat Fang

Chef Advisor
Kathy is the chef and co-owner of Fang, a popular Chinese restaurant in San Francisco’s bustling South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood, offering a fresh take on dishes influenced by both Northern and Southern China’s cuisine. As a rising star on the Food Network, Chef Kathy has competed on a number of cooking shows including two wins on Chopped, as well as appearances on Cutthroat Kitchen, Guy’s Grocery Games, and a reappearing guest on the Today Show. Kathy is a successful Chinese-American entrepreneur, culinary star, recipe developer, fitness enthusiast, and new mom.

Panos Theodorou

Protoype Engineer
Peter has been critical in the construction of our initial prototypes. He is a successful electrician by profession and owns a family construction business. Some of RoboCuisine’s critical innovations that are now patent pending, such as liquid dispensing and simple stirring mechanisms, have been Peter’s brainchild.

What's in a pod/cartridge?

The pods consist of a set of pre-packaged fresh ingredients which include vegetables, meats, sauces, pastas, spices etc.

How many meals does a pod make?

A pod comes with upto eight meals – depending on the selected cuisine type and chef.

What is the price of a pod?

The price is around 10$ per meal but may vary depending on the pod selected. Each has a different price point based on ingredients and chef.

How long does it take for the cartridge to be delivered?

The pods will be delivered the same day, and multiple pods can be ordered at a time.

Does a pod make only a particular cuisine?

We have a variety of cuisine selections in the Robocuisine marketplace. You can either choose a pod that serves one type of cuisine or a pod that serves multiple cuisines, both of which can accommodate multiple recipes.

Will it help track my Calories?

Absolutely yes! All our meals have their calorie content information mentioned in the app so you will be able to count your calories.
